INNOVATION: “MONITOR“ • “RECOGNISE“ • “SWITCH OFF“

In addition to displaying fault and status messages with plain text descriptions, GEDIS utilizes an electronic, temperature-independent load circuit monitoring system for currents on four channels. These channels signal load limits and trigger consistently in the event of short circuits or overloads. Fault reset can be performed locally or remotely after troubleshooting. The load circuit monitoring system’s signaling contacts are continuously monitored and visualized on the screen for operators and service personnel.

ADDITIONAL SCALE AND SPIRIT LEVELS

GEDIS auxiliary scales are fully enclosed in a Rittal cabinet with IP54 protection, safeguarding them against dust and splashing water. The scales are supplied individually with one to six stainless steel (V2A) weighing containers. They arrive pre-wired and ready for operation, with all connections to a terminal box on the side. This significantly reduces on-site installation time. Standard dimensions: approx. 1200 mm high, 800 mm wide, 400 mm deep. GEDIS also supplies custom-made spirit levels upon request, tailored to the specific steel structure and available space.

MOISTURE MEASUREMENT

Moisture measurement in mixers, moisture measurement below a flap, moisture measurement in silos, moisture measurement with a slide. GEDIS provides tailored solutions for these demanding tasks using capacitive, microwave, or radar measurement. Adapted to the specific process requirements, the measurement is supplied with a program for sand-water correction, installation material, and wear protection. Calibration is performed in conjunction with the IBS33W control system and the on-site materials laboratory.

CONSISTENCY MEASUREMENT

The consistency indicator is displayed graphically in the flow diagram and shows the consistency profile over the last thirty seconds. GEDIS supplies the evaluation electronics, the current transformer, and the software. The system automatically calculates for different batch sizes and can be calibrated separately for the individual consistency ranges F1 to F6. The graphical display in three signal colors (red, yellow, green) enables a quick assessment of the mixture’s consistency.

ALPHANUMERIC LED LARGE TEXT DISPLAYS

The large alphanumeric LED displays for outdoor use are employed for material handling and fleet management. GEDIS integrates these large LED text displays into the control system, allowing you to easily and conveniently generate text for the display directly from the control system.

The multi-line text display, controlled via LAN, allows you to quickly transmit information to the exterior of the facility. With a reading distance of over 25 meters, the display reaches employees even at greater distances. Another feature of our displays is the automatic brightness adjustment, which significantly contributes to clear readability in all weather conditions. A traffic light indicator can also be integrated into the front text area of the display, greatly simplifying dispatching processes and speeding up vehicle changes during loading, which in turn increases hourly output.

Domestic Water Density Measurement

Integrating the domestic water density measurement into the IBS33W control system contributes to environmental protection. This method makes it possible to reuse the domestic water.

The OLAS measuring system enables efficient reuse of concrete recycling water, reducing processing and disposal costs while saving energy. Using infrared absorption, it continuously measures water density to ensure compliance with EN 1008 requirements for closed-loop material cycles. Integrated into the GEDIS IBS33W control system, OLAS automatically adjusts process water usage based on real-time density values. This ensures consistent product quality, reduces water and cement consumption, and improves occupational safety by eliminating the need for manual measurements at the recycling basin.

ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Energy management and sustainability are key topics at the forefront of our time. There is also enormous potential within the field of building material mixing technology.

Intelligent programming and the right hardware (e.g., frequency converters and soft starters) help avoid power surges, thereby saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions. The IBS33W control system utilizes crucial data acquired with state-of-the-art measurement technology to conserve vital resources like water and cement, thus promoting sustainability. Together with our customers, we work daily on pioneering projects focused on resource conservation and simultaneously optimizing product quality. Topics such as recipe optimization, remote batching, and eligible energy system optimization are therefore part of our portfolio.

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY MEASUREMENT

Data logger for temperature and humidity values. The data logger records the temperature and humidity values at defined intervals and saves them in a database. This smartly developed tool transmits the values directly to the IBS33W control system for further use and evaluation.

The recording tool works independently around the clock, even when the process control computer is switched off, so that the desired data can be recorded at any time and used as required. This allows you to calculate temperature and heating allowances based on reliable data. The production logs contain the reliable measurement data.
